'I find these images violent, but it is a violence that is not disturbing. It grabs you and it fascinates you. Young people, old people and children dressed like angels who play their character with extreme seriousness, thanks to the abliity of Cindy Marler who is a very sensitive and intelligent photographer. The lighting of the photographs, which has been stamped out with much care, is always in a different direction than the subject, to bring out the most significant details. It is a real work based on and built up from a simple idea, but elaborated with grace.'
