The interiors are warm inviting intimate scenes of human attitude, lovers embracing, a mother and child, a woman reading, contemplating. Each scene has a window, connecting it to the outside world. The landscapes are a stark contrast to the interiors: the horizontal lines of the dutch landscape create a surreal, cool almost barren effect. It is a reflective work based on a simple idea. The intimacy of your own space, the caring loving enviroment that we create around us. Through the window the other side, 'what's out there?' The unknown.
